Obama's administration is planning to open US coastline to Offshore Oil Drilling. George Bush's administration removed a moratorium on drilling in the outer continental shelf, and now it's Obama's decision to let Oil Companies ruin our oceans and devastate coastal economies.
Oceans, our most precious and fragile resources, are in danger from planned oil drilling off all US coasts. The Pacific, Atlantic, Alaskan, and Gulf coasts are all planned for development.
Since 1981, congress has supported the Outer Continental Shelf Moritorium, which protected the whole US coast from oil and gas drilling.
George W. Bush removed that moratorium July 14th, 2008, and Obama's administration is planning its development.
