Greenpeace has launched a global campaign against Mattel the world's largest toy company. This is part of a decades long campaign to force multi-national corporations to purge operations links to rain forest destruction. Mattel is accused of packing Barbie and other toys with paper made with hardwoods from Indonesian rain forests, a haven for such endangered species as orangutans, tigers, elephants and leopards. Scientists link rapid destruction of rain forests with global climate change.
