The authors of the book, The Urban Homestead: Your Guide to Self-sufficient Living in the Heart of the City, Kelly Coyne and Erik Knutzen, visited Environmental Charter High School and Green Ambassadors to promote sustainability within urban areas showing our students the alternative ways to create a sustainable environment from your apartment to your backyard.

Students were eager and amazed by how little it takes to make a big difference in their household and the planet.

Providing them with examples such as cleaning without toxins and growing your own food on your patio or balcony, they proved that to be green and maintain a sustainable lifestyle, you don't need to much to get started. Students were eager to take the solutions to their households and spread the word. The aftermath of the presentation suddenly became a hunger revolt to make a difference. Simply Green Ambassadors hungry to make a difference in their lives while changing the world all at once.
