I am passionate about permaculture, a way to design human systems sustainably. The core of permaculture are the 3 ethics, Earth care, People care and Fair share. Earth care is understanding the intrinsic value of everything on our planet, people, animals, plants, soil, water and air. People care is caring about each other, starting with honoring yourself and then treating everyone as the family we all are. Fair share is sharing the surplus back to the earth and to people. Not over consuming or producing. We can change the world and again become in balance with nature.

Have you sent in your love note, the last newsletter asked for ours so here is mine, won't you share yours?

We Are Elemental – A Love Letter to the Earth

From the first breath to the last, we exist because we are on and of the Earth, protecting it is loving and protecting ourselves. To abuse the Earth is self-abuse and abusive of other life on Earth.

I am so fortunate that my Parents and Grandparents exposed me to the beauty and mystery of our Earth. My earliest memories are of crawling under the bridal bush tree in Grandma’s yard and feeling its protection. The tree in their backyard was my adventure, seeing nature from a new viewpoint like the birds and squirrels. Even more exciting was sneaking out at night with my Grandfather to catch big, juicy night worms before we went on fishing trips. I was hooked!

Vacations with Mom and Dad ALWAYS meant getting out into nature and enjoying it, boating, fishing, swimming in lakes and then later the ocean.

Now I continue to travel to see and experience this Earth and the people and creatures that share it with me and all of us. I am inspired to greater love each time and gratitude that I am of and on this beautiful Earth. I spend a good bit of my life doing what I can to take care of it as I do my other loved ones.

With love and gratitude, LuckyLouise

Hi, Part of Living Green is to protect animals, the Roots & Shoots Video Contest, On the Edge, hosting on Earth Protect is wonderful and I hope you will support by viewing and voting. See the banner on the home page, click and you will go to the contest, bring your friends and family. These kids are doing a great job with the videos about endangered species in their area and I hope you and all your friends will vote supporting them and their message. Watch the contest daily as it unfolds and view and vote. Thanks, Carol

Hi I am seeking a list of what to do to save water at home, in the western US we are very dry and getting drier. Does any one have a good list. Love to hear about it and it would also make a good blog. Happy New Year! Let's get lots more folks into Earth Protect.
