While many organizations in business, nonprofit, government and academia are working on sustainability solutions, they often work independently, or worse, at odds with one another. We are convinced that the global sustainability issues we face are urgent and require the collective efforts of these sectors, cohesively and collaboratively working towards development of policies and implementation of practices towards a sustainable future.
Hence, our mission statement is, “Advancing Sustainability through Collaboration”, which we accomplish through our three, integrated program areas. These on-going programs are intertwined and leverage each other to catalyze sustainable policies and practices throughout the state, advocating that Coloradans consider the “Triple Bottom Line” of impacts on people, planet and profits with an eye to seize current opportunities that leave a positive legacy for future generations.
Alliance Center Program: Maintain a green building and hub for sustainability for 30 non-profit tenants and non-tenant partners.
Policy Program: Collaborate to promote public policy supporting sustainability in Colorado. Identify, initiate and shepherd sustainability legislation from inception/drafting to law while engaging elements of all sectors of society.
