Four winning videos were chosen by a panel of judges, including Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace, Laurie Marshall, Earth Protect Advisor and Founder, Unity for Creativity, and Pippa Biddle, 2010-2011 Youth Leadership Fellow Roots & Shoots. The four winners will receive $250 mini-grants to support projects to protect endangered species in their area. The judges chose the winners based on their video’s relevance to the theme of the contest, their video’s originality and creativity, the quality of the submission, and the potential impact of the proposed mini-grant project.
