Today EarthProtect.com officially launched its video-rich website, encompassing user-generated clips in thirteen environmental categories such as Energy and Green Life Styles. The site’s film library already houses thousands of videos from environmental experts and enthusiasts. The Colorado-based company aims to be “a worldwide environmental hub” and has already enlisted twenty-four non-profit partners, including the Australia Koala Foundation and the California Wildlife Center. Along with videos, EarthProtect.com offers features to help users connect with each other including forums and blogs, and connect with eco-friendly businesses through a virtual store featuring eco-friendly products and a green business directory. The site, which boasts users in over 150 countries, is the first step in a business plan that includes future webinars, conferences, and film festivals. EarthProtect.com was founded in 2007 by film maker Grant Barbeito and later joined by Dr. Carol Barbeito, who currently serves as President and Managing Director for the company.
